Privet Hawk Moth's Release

We were still shattered after yesterday’s trip so it took us a little time to get going today.
The weather forecast wasn’t too bad so it was time to release our emerged Privet Hawk Moth. He didn’t seem in a great rush to get away but we released him in the ealy evening so he could get the benefit of some warm evening sunshine.
In the morning he had gone.
STOP PRESS: The second Privet Hawk Moth has just emerged at 6.30pm.
Keep your eyes peeled and good spotting.
