We left the Travelodge in Berwick Upon Tweed about 9.55am. It was quite bright and dry. As we passed Holy Island (Lindisfarne) it brought back some very happy memories of past family holidays at Belford where the Island used to be framed in the kitchen window. We had a stop for breakfast in Northumberland but after that the weather quickly deteriorated and we had to contend with torrential rain and spray which made driving quite tiring.
The only wildlife we saw on the way back was a Kestrel hovering in a roadside field in Lincolnshire and a small rodent (Mouse, Shrew Or Vole) scuttling across the road in South Pickenham. We stopped to get some shopping in Swaffham and arrived back home about 6.45pm.
A Stonechat at Loch Buie
2 Harbour Seals Loch Na Keal
Part of a Flock of 80 Eider Duck
2 Hooded Crows on The Ross Of Mull
Our Ferry just before we boarded it at Craignure bound for Oban
I will begin this week processing the many videos we shot and they will eventually go on Facebook and our YouTube Channel.
