Wishful Thinking

Projects & Hopes For 2015 – Monday 5^th January 2015 

I don’t like to be too prescriptive for our Nature Watching as I do think it is a real pleasure and privilege to experience our wildlife in the wild but there are a few things I would like to see.

• ·    Osprey – although we’ve seen them before we missed an opportunity to see them on our visit to Rutland Water last year and it would be really good to see them on one of the Rutland Osprey Cruises.
• ·      Water Vole – I’d love to get a decent video of a Water Vole.
• ·      Moth Trapping – I’d love to do some more Moth Trapping, especially at home.
• ·      Garden – I’d like to get a picture of the garden in every week of the year.
• ·      Tree – Likewise I’d like to put together a video of a tree’s life throughout the year
• ·      Family Montage – I’d like to put together a video of the high points of our lives.
• ·    Fox – We’d both like to see a Fox in the wild. In our last home we used to get them in the garden.
• ·      Book Project – To do some more work on the book I’m writing.
• ·      Dragonflies – To get some real close ups and slo-mos of Dragonflies or Damselflies.
• ·      Cetaceans – To get some video of Whales or Dolphins (Holiday on Mull in May, may provide answer to this).
• ·      Birds – I’d love to see Great Grey Shrike, Great White Egret, Purple Sandpiper and Shore Lark.

But most of all I wish for what I wish for you all, a healthy, peaceful and happy New Year in 2015.
