We spent an hour up at Hilborough hoping to see a Barn or Little Owl but there wasnt many birds about at all. We did, however see one Kestrel briefly hover over the field before disappearing into the distance.
As we thought, we didnt get much nature watching in over the last week but as we were coming back from the hospital on Tuesday we did see 2 Kestrels hovering over fields quite close to the road, nothing too strange about that other than the fact they were within about 200 metres of each other. It might have meant they were a pair, parent & sibling or two juveniles.
Keep your eyes peeled and good spotting.
